Mr. Kane joined Hillcrest in 2021 and is an Investment Analyst. In this role, he is tasked with supporting the team’s origination, underwriting, and asset management efforts.

Prior to joining the Hillcrest team, Mr. Kane was an analyst with Kroll Bond Rating Agency as part of their CMBS New Issuance team. The group provides ratings for all Commercial Real Estate (“CRE”) securitization types, including conduits, CRE CLOs, and Single Borrower Large Loan transactions. As an analyst with the team, Mr. Kane was responsible for performing collateral and pool analysis for securitization transactions and assisting with preparation of deal reports and overall transaction management. He developed cash flow analyses and valuations for all major CRE property types.

Prior to KBRA, he was a summer analyst for Bedrock Capital, a commercial real estate firm focused on originating fixed and floating rate commercial real estate whole loans and mezzanine loans throughout the United States on all property types. While there, Mr. Kane assisted the originations team with the underwriting and due diligence process.

Mr. Kane received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Business Analytics from the Villanova School of Business.
